Hi (excuse me I don't speak french Sad but I can read it Smile )

I have been using Matter F180r (80mm) wheels on extreme downhill (12-18%) with hard turns and hard slides.

I was really surprised because after near 12-15 runs in that conditions my wheels were in a very good conditions. I put photos for you to see them after that.

My weight is 60kg, maybe if I were heavier they would have been more damaged.

The question is: Is this normal? Hyper wheels are as resistent as Matter?

what do you think about hyper vs matter? what about the grip?

It's the first time I have tried Matter wheels but I have never tried hyper.

oh my god!!

it has been produced because of the high speed and the hot of the bearings, isn't it?

the rubber appear to be in good condition while the hub is completely destroyed.

where do you find a downhill in which you can run so fast??? Smile I want to destroy wheels!!! SmileSmile

thanks a lot for the info.

hi...I was suprised about the matter's quality (my english is very poor)...

A rider told me, one day, that an oder trade mark is wellknow for downhill.
Wheels's name is "revolution" .I'm not exactly sure about this but you can take look aboot them. There are not very expensive (6,5 euro) maybe cheaper than the "hyper" Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

revolution wheels are not very good for downhill

the best wheels for downhill are hyper +grip wheels

the grip on revolution wheels is not very regular

but it depends of the generation of the wheel, the first generation was very good,

i don't know if the nowadays generation of the revolution wheels is good or not

the photo of the matter wheels is from 2004, the wheels that I tested are from 2006. Maybe things have changed from 2004 Smile

I have bought a set of hyper wheels to test and compare.

Also I have tried revolution wheels, I don't like the grip, as dim says, it's not regular, that is the word.

I fully agree with you, HP+grip is the best wheel.

Nevertheless i was also satisfy with my revolution, and i know many people who are still using these wheels without any problem ( revolution are cheaper than HP+grip)

A bon freeRider; salut...
