BattleUK - 07/10/06

On Saturday 7th October 2006, Europe’s top Freestyle inline and roller skaters will be descending on Nottingham to compete in the first Battle Freestyle Slalom competition to be held in the UK.

Battle Freestyle Slalom injects a fast competitive atmosphere into the sport that is easy to watch and understand, thus creating a slalom competition that is gripping and nail-biting for competitors and spectators alike.

The Victoria Leisure Centre on Gedling Street will play host to the event, which will see competitors skating against each other in a ‘Battle’ scenario, to compete for the ‘Battle Seba Cup’. The format for the competition has been developed with the specific intention to make competition skating accessible to skaters of all levels and abilities.

As well as Freestyle Slalom, the event will showcase other competitions including Speed Slalom, Jumping and Dance demonstrations.

We are looking to attract a lot of interest in this unique event and promote Freestyle Skating as a fun and safe activity for all.

Hey everyone,

Just to let you know that registration for BattleUK is now open HERE.

The entry fee for the competition is fixed at £10, which covers entry into the battle rules style slalom and speed slalom competitions and, (time and weather permitting), the freejump and slide contest. Be aware that whilst precautions will be taken to make this event as safe as possible, all skaters compete at their own risk.

Entry will be available on the day but it would be greatly appreciated if you could register in advance. This helps the organisers to plan the competitions better and goes towards funding the event.
